## A stable and scalable digital solution for complex challenges in international logistics.

H.Essers is a leading logistics company that offers sustainable and high-quality solutions to the complex issues of their customers. In addition to their logistical solutions, H.Essers also offers prized value-added services. In order to effectively address the growing complexity in the logistics sector and to provide the most flexible services & solutions with maximum value, H.Essers continues to invest in new technologies and systems.

### The case

H.Essers had opted for specific technologies in the past, but was now running up against the limitations of the web section. They needed a groundbreaking solution that could offer them future stability and scalability. Luk Overath, Architecture Manager at H.Essers, explains: “We had already done some research, so we started to lean towards React. But internally, we did not have the knowledge to start this from scratch. Euricom was able to provide that expertise.” Thierry De Block, Senior Manager Software Engineering at H.Essers, adds: “We quickly felt that Euricom was cut from the same cloth as us: a down-to-earth approach and clear communication. This immediately made me feel good about taking on this assignment together.”

With the tight deadline of three months in mind, it was essential to build up the basic knowledge of React and put an architectural foundation in place so all projects would be on the same page. “Within two weeks, we felt like we were on the right track,” Thierry confirms.

### Our approach

Euricom supported H.Essers by thoroughly identifying the challenges and needs together. The team was able to look at various options so that informed decisions could be made, followed by agreements that could be made that everyone could stick to the entire process. According to the internal team, our Euricommers Peter & Stijn were well prepared and were quickly able to point everyone in the right direction, giving them the confidence to accelerate progress. “The preparation was really enlightening: a breath of fresh air,” Thierry says. “Euricom came in with the proper know-how from day one: exactly what you hope to get from a partner.”

Our Euricommers took the internal H.Essers team under their wing, with a hands-on & interactive approach. This resulted in a successful integration of React into their Transport Management System (TMS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS).

### The Result

Thanks to the good prep work, the groundbreaking work of Euricommers Peter & Stijn and the close cooperation with the internal team at H.Essers, the goal of this project was quickly achieved: the first version of the application has now successfully gone live. “Euricom's expertise has helped us make rapid progress, something we couldn't have achieved by ourselves in that timeframe,” Thierry says. “If we had had to do it ourselves, it would probably have taken us much longer and we might even have made the wrong choices.”

The collaboration was a resounding success, laying down a solid foundation for new initiatives and new collaborations in the future.
